​Taihan Participates in Arbor Day Tree-Planting Event in Collaboration with Dangjin City- Engaged in the Arbor Day tree-planting event organized by Dangjin City- A total of 300 participants, including city officials and employees, planted 3,200 cypress trees- Ongoing eco-friendly initiatives such as coastal conservation, battery recycling, and endangered species protectionTaihan has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental conservation in Dangjin. On April 26, Taihan announced its participation in the 80th Arbor Day Tree-Planting Event hosted by Dangjin City on April 25. The event was attended by Dangjin Mayor Oh Seong-hwan, city officials, local residents, and approximately 30 Taihan employees, including Executive Vice President Kim Hyun-joo, head of the Production and Technology Division—totaling around 300 participants. Organized by Dangjin City, the event aimed to raise awareness of forest conservation and promote carbon neutrality. Participants, including Taihan employees, planted 3,200 cypress trees in Dosan-ri, Jeongmi-myeon, while also cleaning the surrounding environment. Cypress trees were strategically selected for their exceptional air purification properties, and their planting is expected to expand green spaces and mitigate fine dust pollution. Mayor Oh Seong-hwan remarked, "Corporate-community collaboration plays a vital role in enhancing the local environment. We will continue to monitor and support the healthy growth of these trees into a thriving forest." A Taihan representative added, "Environmental sustainability is a fundamental value for both local communities and future generations. With this commitment in mind, we actively participated in the event and will continue working with the community to implement diverse initiatives for environmental preservation." Beyond tree-planting efforts, Taihan has been spearheading various environmental protection initiatives in Dangjin City, including the "One Company, One Coastline" initiative, battery recycling campaigns, and endangered species protection programs. The company remains dedicated to corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, education, and community development. 

Taihan Vina has donated VND 2 bilion to support residents impacted by Typhoon in northern VietnamTaihan Cable Vina has donated VND 2 bilion ($81,000) to support residents severely impacted by Typhoon Yagi in northern Vietnam. The donation will be provided through the MTTQ (Mat Tran To Quoc Viet Nam) to support disaster relief efforts, including providing clean water and essential supplies and contributing to the rebuilding efforts in high-impact areas. Choi Seungho, General Director of Taihan Cable Vina, who attended the donation ceremony held at the MTTQ on the 27th of September, said, “We’d like to express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims affected by the tragic typhoon. And we are very confident that Vietnam will overcome difficulties and return to its normal lives.”​ 

Taihan joined the “Blood Donation Campaign for Love” with the Hoban Group’s employee volunteer group​Taihan joined the “Blood Donation Campaign for Love” with the Hoban Group’s employee volunteer group, Hoban Sarangnanumi. Despite the sweltering heat, many people joined the campaign to alleviate the blood supply shortage. In addition to the employees of Hoban Group who pre-registered for the campaign, a large number of people registered on the site to share their warm generosity. Taihan has carried out the Blood Donation Campaign for Love for about 10 years since 2013 and the campaign expanded the previous year with the participation of Hoban Group, including Hoban Construction and Hoban Property. Besides blood donation, Taihan is actively practicing ESG management through campaigns including and delivering lunch boxes made with love, voice donations, waste battery exchange campaigns. 

​​Hoban Sarangnanumi conducted kimchi-making for childcare center.  Hoban Group's volunteer team, 'Hoban Sarangnanumi,' conducted its 14th annual kimchi-making service at the Heymyung Childcare Center on November 4th.  The event brought together around 60 participants, including employees from Taihan. Despite the chilly weather, they prepared delicious kimchi with the children in mind. 

Making flower boxes to support flower farms​On July 15, Hoban Group employees participated in a volunteer activity called 'Making Flower Boxes.'This activity was conducted to support flower farmers who are experiencing difficulties and to support single-parent families. The participating employees received professional horticulture training and beautifully completed the flower boxes. The flower boxes made on that day were delivered to low-income, single-parent family facilities. 

'1 Company, 1 Coastal Area' activity​Taihan employees conducted the '1 Company, 1 Coastal Area' activity near Yongmuchi Port in Dangjin City. Since 2011, Taihan has continuously engaged in environmental volunteer activities in cooperation with Dangjin City for the '1 Company, 1 Coastal Area' initiative. In the latest activity, they collected 120kg of marine litter, contributing to creating a clean and pleasant environment. Taihan will continue to practice eco-friendly management for the local community based on the medium-to-long-term environmental strategy 'Green2030.' 

Donated 57 grapefruit trees to Binh Thuan Province in VietnamIn March, Taihan participated in a tree-planting campaign. As part of this activity, Taihan donated 57 grapefruit trees to Binh Thuan Province in Vietnam.The campaign helps reduce carbon emissions and supports impoverished households with crops. Taihan will continue to bring warmth to all places in need through its social contributions. If you want to know more about Taihan's social contribution activities, please check the link.​ 

Improving Residential Environments for Local ResidentsThe Taihan Nuri Volunteer Group, comprised of executives and employees from Taihan, has collaborated with the Bisan General Social Welfare Center in Anyang City to improve the residential environment. Taihan has improved living conditions by thoroughly cleaning houses that have been left unattended, and disposing of old, difficult-to-use items and products. Since 2014, Taihan has formed a bond with the Bisan General Social Welfare Center in Anyang City and has been providing support for elderly people living alone and children from low-income families. Notably, Taihan maintained its active support for vulnerable communities even during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, never relinquishing its sponsorship responsibilities. Keep an eye on Taihan's ongoing efforts to build a society in which everyone can be happy. 

​Taihan Launches 'Blood Donation Campaign for Love'Taihan's executives and employees are joining forces in blood donation activities for the noble cause of sharing life. The 'Blood Donation Campaign for Love' commenced on June 20th at Taihan's Dangjin plant and Dangjin Cable Accessory plant​. It was conducted until June 23rd at Hoban Park in Seocho-dong, Seoul, the location of several affiliated companies, including Hoban Construction, Hoban Industries, and Taihan. Approximately 200 executives and staff members from Taihan participated in the event. In total, 300 blood donation certificates, including those received through additional donations, were collected by Taihan, and then handed over to the 'Pediatric Cancer NGO Hanbit', an organization dedicated to supporting children with cancer. Since 2013, Taihan has been consistently carrying out the Blood Donation Campaign for Love, and since last year, it has expanded its initiative to include the entire company. Taihan is committed to continuing its sharing activities, ensuring the delivery of love to all marginalized members of society.

Conservation Activities for Endangered Species in Dangjin City for Biodiversity ProtectionThe Hoban Group's employee volunteer group​, “Hoban Sarangnanumi​,” made a donation of 10 million KRW to Dangjin City. This donation, collected from voluntary employee contributions, will be allocated towards the conservation of endangered species and the rescue of wildlife in Dangjin City, with the aim of protecting biodiversity. As a part of these initiatives, on December 20, 2022, Taihan employees participated in a feeding activity for endangered species, including the Korean water deer, in the vicinity of the Sapgyoho Lake Wildlife Protection Area in Dangjin City. Taihan will continue to be involved in various environmental conservation activities, working towards a sustainable future.
