Hosting the Fair Trade Voluntary Compliance Pledge CeremonyOn January 11, 2023, Taihan held the "2023 Fair Trade Voluntary Compliance Pledge Ceremony" to reaffirm its commitment to fair trade practices. The event began with an introduction to the concept of voluntary compliance with fair trade, followed by a review of campaigns and activities carried out in the previous year. This was complemented by a declaration of commitment to fair trade voluntary compliance and the reading of the compliance pledge, etc. As part of the ceremony, employees were encouraged to personally pen their own commitment statements to adhere to fair trade practices. Looking ahead, Taihan will continue to raise ethical awareness through education and campaigns on fair trade, foster a fair competitive environment, and cultivate strong collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Taihan conducts the “2022 CP Campaign” to establish voluntary compliance with fair tradeTaihan will intensively conduct the ‘2022 CP (Compliance Program) Campaign’ targeting executives and employees for the establishment of a transparent and fair trade order and the settlement of a transparent and fair trade culture. This campaign will be intensively conducted for about two months with various activities such as professional training for executives and employees, CP quiz contest, and an awareness improvement campaign. The CP is an internal compliance system established and operated by the company to establish a fair trade culture and comply with laws. Taihan introduced the program in August 2021, last year and implemented a pledge campaign and constant monitoring through the establishment of an internal monitoring system, etc. and is practising the prevention and early detection of violations of the law.

Taihan hosts fair trade training for the first half of the yearTaihan invited experts frominside and outside the company to lead a couple of training sessions designed to promote a culture of fair trade compliance across its organization and prevent unfair trade practices. Last month, Taihan convened Team Managers from each Department for its Fair Trade Compliance Program(CP) for a refresher on what is prohibited and what is mandated under fair trade laws. On May 11, roughly 150 executives and staff gathered in the auditorium at Hoban Park Building #2 for the “External Instructor Invitational Training for Fair Trade, First Half of 2022,” which went on for two hours or so. Taihan plans on continuing its regular offering of education and training on fair trade laws and regulations, including the Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act, the Fair Agency Transactions Act, and the Fair Transactions in Subcontracting Act, in order to create and establish a culture of fair trade.

Taihan announces its Fair Trade Compliance Program for 2022 and hosts a proclamation ceremonyTaihan hosted its “Fair Trade Compliance Program Announcement and Proclamation Ceremony,” inviting all of its executives and staff to renew its pledge to voluntary compliance with fair trade practices. In an attempt to prevent the spread of COVID-19, all employees, except for key executives, participated in the “untact” online event, and the proclamation ceremony included an introduction of the Fair Trade Compliance Program and the announcement of an Action Plan for 2022, a declaration of commitment by the CEO, and reading of the Fair Trade Compliance Pledge. Going forward, Taihan will continue to pursue a transparent and fair trade system and reinforce the spirit of voluntary compliance to fair trade practices among its employees.

Proclamation Ceremony of Ethical Management On April 3rd, Taihan held a proclamation ceremony for ethical management. Attended by all employees, this was an opportunity for all employees and executives to read the newly amended ethics charter and ethics regulations out aloud and pledge to follow them. Recognizing how proper ethical awareness of the company is a prerequisite for become a global company, all employees and executives of Taihan once again took the occasion of the proclamation ceremony to embrace the importance of ethical management.
