Establishing Carbon Neutrality Roadmap
Taihan Cable & Solution has established a detailed carbon neutrality roadmap to achieve Net Zero by 2050. The greenhouse gas reduction targets are set according to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) standards. SBTi is a global initiative that validates corporate carbon emission reduction targets based on scientific evidence. Taihan plans to submit its reduction targets and implementation plans within the first half of this year, aiming to be the first in the domestic cable industry to receive approval from SBTi.
According to its roadmap, Taihan plans to reduce the total amount of carbon emissions, both direct and indirect, from all its operations, both domestic and international, by 46% by 2031. In addition, the company aims to reduce carbon emissions from its entire value chain, including overseas subsidiaries, partners, and transportation, by more than 30% by 2031. The ultimate goal is to achieve Net Zero by 2050, meaning all carbon emissions from product manufacturing and business activities will be reduced to zero.
