Taihan Secures KRW 100 Billion Project in the U.S., Marking a Strong Start to the Year

- A key infrastructure project to reinforce reliable power supply in the Riverside region

- Executed under a full turn-key model, covering engineering, manufacturing, installation, jointing, testing, and commissioning

- Continued success driven by strong technical and quality competitiveness amid the U.S. grid modernization trend

Taihan Cable & Solution announced on the 7th that its U.S. subsidiary, T.E.USA, has been awarded a 230kV extra-high-voltage transmission project in the United States, valued at approximately KRW 100 billion.

The project involves constructing a new 230kV transmission line in the Riverside region of Southern California. The initiative aims to meet rising electricity demand and establish a system capable of supplying power reliably even in unexpected situations such as natural disasters or accidents.

Taihan will execute the project under a full turn-key model, which encompasses engineering, manufacturing, installation, jointing, testing, and commissioning. This delivery approach requires advanced engineering capabilities and rigorous project-management expertise. Taihan was selected as the qualified contractor after being recognized for its technological strength and extensive project experience in competition with global players.

This latest award reflects Taihan’s proven quality reliability and technical competitiveness, accumulated through the successful delivery of multiple projects across the United States. The company has secured all 500kV HVAC transmission projects undertaken in the U.S. and has demonstrated strong capabilities by participating in complex initiatives such as 320kV-class HVDC transmission systems and major urban grid-replacement projects.

A Taihan representative commented, “Starting the year with this significant project win provides strong momentum to build on last year’s performance, which brought our order backlog to KRW 3.4 trillion. As U.S. grid modernization and large-scale infrastructure investments accelerate, we will actively leverage our subsidiaries and branch networks to expand project opportunities nationwide and strengthen our market presence.”
