Taihan Holds Its First Ceremony for Distributing Birth Congratulation Bonuses

 

Taihan announced on September 26 that it has reinforced its family-friendly policies to support employees in their journey of marriage, childbirth, and childcare. As part of this initiative, an event was held at the Dangjin Cable Plant to present childbirth congratulatory funds to employees who have given birth. 

 

This event was organized to commemorate the first employees to receive support since the implementation of the childbirth support fund program. Vice Chairman Song Jong-min and the management attended the event to present congratulatory funds to four employees who gave birth in September.

 

Taihan expanded its welfare program to be tailored to the life cycle of employees including marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare. In line with the expansion of the “Child-friendly Hoban Life” program of the Hoban Group, Taihan has strengthened its support policies, implemented new programs, and significantly increased the support range.

 

A congratulatory fund of KRW 1 million is given to newlywed employees and up to KRW 3.9 million is supported for fertility treatments for infertile couples wanting to raise a family. A prenatal education travel package at a resort in Korea is also offered for pregnancy. Upon childbirth, congratulatory funds of KWW 5 million for the first child, KRW 10 million for the second child, and KRW 20 million for the third child or more are provided. Spouse’s maternity leave and prenatal leave have also been significantly expanded.

 

Vice Chairman Song Jong-min, who personally congratulated the employees, stated, “We plan to continue improving related programs to balance work and family.” He added, “In the future, we will create a family-friendly and healthy corporate culture that contributes to overcoming the low birth rate crisis our society is facing.”
