First export of extra-high voltage cables to the Netherlands
Taihan opened the first door of Dutch exports. In the middle of this month, Taihan shipped extra-high voltage cables produced at the Dangjin factory to the Netherlands. They are used for a project received earlier this year from TenneT, a Dutch state-owned power transmission company. In addition, they are 380 kV class high voltage cables, the highest voltage among underground power grids used in the Netherlands.
This cable will be installed for the transmission of electricity produced at the large offshore wind farms on the southern coast of the Netherlands (Hollandse Kust) and it will be connected and tested in the Netherlands by October this year to complete the project.
With the first step in the Netherlands after competing with leading European companies, Taihan expects to launch its market in Europe, the home of cable.
