Taihan succeeds in the first ‘AC HV Test’ in Korea

On Mar. 11th, Taihan succeeded in the ‘AC HV Test’ for the first time as Korean company in Ulsan-city. The test was completed in a 2.2 Km field of construction work to replace 154 KV transmission lines.

The AC HV test meets the international standards suggested by IEC (International Electrical Commission). The test gets rid of inconvenience of employing previous ‘DC HV Test’ or ’24 hour no-load test.’ In addition, it reduces the whole test time to only an hour.

KEPCO said that it would be applied to every transmission construction test from this September.

Due to the success of the test, Taihan can have more chances to demonstrate the stability and superiority of the underground extra-high voltage transmission cable and construction.
