The First RF Light Line in Korea

Taihan developed Radio Frequency (RF) light line for the first time in Korea after a year of research since 2018. This cable combined the wireless communication function with light line equipment installed mandatorily in the basement to secure an escape route in the event of a fire. By achieving two purposes with one equipment, this cable increases work efficiency and safety. The RF light line, which was supplied to Daegu Fire and Safety Department and Gyeongsangnam-do Fire Department, has been actively used at fire sites.

Firefighting Environment Customized Solution

RF light line provides a stable communication environment even in the shadow area of the 3rd basement floor without additional equipment installation or facility construction. At the time of product development, by actively reflecting the opinions of firefighters from Daegu Dalseong Fire Station, who were in charge of technical advice, Taihan reduced its weight to increase portability and simplified the operation so that anyone can easily use it in an emergency.

If wireless communication does not operate smoothly due to aging, breakdown, fire,
non-installation, etc., communication is cut off between the firefighters deployed to the underground site and the command unit on the ground. In this case, the use of RF light line can minimize damage to life and property by enabling not only communication but also to secure an escape route quickly. As the importance of environment and safety increases, we will continue to strive for technology development in the future.
