Taihan Joins Dangjin City in Coastal Cleanup Initiative to Help Keep the West Coast Clean

- Joint public-private cleanup campaign with Dangjin City and local residents ahead of the summer holiday season

- Approximately 20 newly hired employees participate in cleanup activities around the Daeho Seawall and Dobido Port

- Continuing coastal conservation efforts through the "One Company, One Coastline" campaign since 2011

Taihan has joined hands with the local community to help protect the marine ecosystem.

The company announced on June 26 that it participated in a public-private coastal cleanup initiative hosted by Dangjin City on June 25. The campaign was organized to create a cleaner and safer coastal environment by collecting waste that had washed ashore or been left along the coastline ahead of the summer rainy season and peak vacation period.

Approximately 50 participants, including around 20 Taihan employees, Dangjin City officials, and local residents, took part in the event. Taihan's volunteer team was primarily composed of newly hired employees, providing them with an opportunity to experience the local coastal environment firsthand and contribute to environmental conservation as members of the local community.

Following a safety briefing, participants carried out cleanup activities around the Daeho Seawall and Dobido Port. They collected several hundred kilograms of marine debris and coastal waste, including styrofoam, discarded fishing gear, and general litter.

Lee Seung-ji, Assistant Manager of Taihan's SHE Team who participated in the volunteer activity, said, "It was especially meaningful to work alongside the local community to help keep Korea's West Coast clean. We will continue to value the environment in the communities where we operate and actively participate in efforts to preserve the marine ecosystem along the West Coast."

In addition to this initiative, Taihan has consistently carried out a wide range of environmental and community contribution activities. Since signing an agreement with Dangjin City in 2011, the company has participated annually in the "One Company, One Coastline" campaign, collecting marine litter and waste near Yongmuchi Port. It has also continued various environmental initiatives, including planting halophytes to help preserve biodiversity in tidal flats and tree-planting activities in celebration of Arbor Day.

Centered around Dangjin, where its major manufacturing facilities are located, Taihan continues to carry out a variety of social contribution initiatives, including environmental cleanup, community engagement, and support for vulnerable groups. Going forward, the company plans to further strengthen collaboration with local communities while expanding employee-led ESG initiatives as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Since joining the Hoban Group in 2021, Taihan has maintained an Integrated ESG Rating of A for five consecutive years after becoming the only company in Korea's cable industry to receive the integrated A rating, demonstrating its leadership in ESG management across the industry.
