As the contact wire for delivering electric power to the pantagraph of locomotives, tramcar and subway train, the trolley wires are in a round or grooved shape with the excellent conductivity, tensile strength and abrasion-proof properties. Recently, the new type of alloy trolley wire is under development to improve abrasion-proof properties for speedier operation.
