Compared with the conventional outdoor substation, GIS is so much compact that it can be installed in the densely populated city area and under the basement without the burden of construction site. Also it is operated in the earthed metal tank to avoid the accident such as electric shock. As an environment-friendly instrument, GIS is not exposed to outdoors and is operated in a closed chamber with much less noise.
The key components of GIS are epoxy insulation and condenser cylinder. Taihan's existing epoxy insulation covers the grade of 72.5kV, 145kV, 170kV and 362kV to be added by 800kV in the near future.Along with the epoxy insulation, Taihan also produces condenser cylinders based on the customers' requirements.
