Taihan had produced a total 2 million metric ton of copper rod until 1998 with the biggest production capacity in Korea. By applying the ultramodern SCR system, the whole production process is controlled by the automatic

system and the data feed back operation is monitored and controlled by the central computer operation to ensure the best quality of copper rod. The molten copper is cast into a bar with maximum are of 10.2 square inches to produce the even quality rod. Especially automated system makes it possible for the rod to be drawn up to superfine wire without breakage. On the basis of our accumulated technical know-how we have been making quality control which is for more strict than the international quality standard to minimize the surface defects and copper dust. The excellent properties of our copper rod with the best surface luster is highly appreciated by our domestic and overseas customers.
