Taihan announced on 2nd April that Taihan secured a new power order for supplying 400kV extra high voltage transmission grid worth US $140 million with the Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) of Kuwait. It was a quite competitive bid among Taihan and 5 other global companies from Europe and Japan.

By getting this turn-key base order, Taihan will design and install 400kV underground power transmission system using newly developed ¡®Enamelled Copper Wire Cable¡¯ including accessories.

Taihan recently developed this 400kV enamelled copper wire cable which has 20% higher efficiency in electric power than existing cables. After 2-years development process, it succeeded to produce this new cable.

Despite the global economic crisis, Taihan¡¯s sales in overseas power cable market has been increasing more than 30% annually during last several years.
